Starting to blog

Hello All,

I would like to get in the habit of blogging again.  Now that I have a mac that I can take anywhere, I think it will be easier.

Since this will be my first official post, let me introduce myself--

My Name is Lauren, I was born April 8, 1991.  I live in Southern Illinois with my mom and dad.  I have 2 half brothers, and 2 half sisters.  My sisters are twins, born in 1981, and my eldest brother just turned 30 in September of 2008.  The younger brother was also born in 1981.

I own my own business.  I am a freelance graphic designer.  I have focussed mainly on the equine industry, but I'm looking to branch out to other industries soon.  I have been doing graphics since I was 14, and formed LMKdesign.org when I was 16.  I am 17 going on 18 now, and will begin college this fall.  I am looking to have Graphic Design as my first major, but I'm also interested in majoring in Marketing.  I love digital photography, and I possibly will minor in that.

I have a very serious lung disease called Cystic Fibrosis.  I was diagnosed at 4 months, and I have lived with it my entire life.  Due to the illness, I have to do breathing treatments 2-4 times a day, and take in upwards of 35 pills per day.

CF rarely slows me down.  I show horses nationally with John Kayser Show Horses.  My gelding, Arnie (A Good Reflection, and I were the number one novice youth team in Illinois in 2007.  In 2008 I showed my Mom's gelding, Harley (Good Golly Zip), to a top 15 placing at the 2008 APHA (American Paint Horse Association) World Championships in Hunter Under Saddle (HUS).  This year I plan to show Harley with John Kayser, and I expect to get Arnie out of the pasture a few times to show too :~).

Well I think this was a great first post.  If you would like to contact me, my email is Lauren@LMKdesign.org!

Lauren
